School's out for Summer - Child friendly London

The school summer holidays have arrived and the task of finding exciting and interesting things to do for their children baffles many parents. London is buzzing with fabulous things for kids to do, catering for all ages, energy levels and for purses of all sizes. Whether it be dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum, Changing The Guard at Buckingham Palace, exploring the Princess of Wales Memorial Playground in Kensington Gardens, watching Shrek the musical or simply attending any of the hundreds of other activities on offer during London's 'Kidsweek in the West End' (12th - 4th September), all children of every age will find something to entertain them.

During our recent £30m refurbishment, we made a conscious effort to accommodate the needs of families of all ages. We created a range of family rooms - 18 featuring two queen beds, two bathrooms and a large day bed and 65 rooms featuring two double beds and one bathroom. Combined with our friendly and relaxed family atmosphere, St Ermin's offers the perfect retreat after an fun day out.

As always, we would love to hear from you regarding your own activities and the places you've visited. We could perhaps create a kids top 10 of things to do whilst visiting London?
