Caxton Bar
More than just your typical London hotel bar, Caxton is a meeting spot for guests and locals alike and over the years it has played local to some of Westminster’s most influential.
Caxton Bar provides a welcoming and homely environment for guests and locals to meet for a drink or those looking for an informal bar meal. The Bar offers a large range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including signature cocktails and ‘flights’ of wine or whisky designed to give guests the chance to compare, contrast and discover new flavours. For those looking for a quick bite a menu featuring 'classics' such as fish & chips and club sandwiches is served throughout the day.
The Bar has witnessed many historic meetings over the years. Winston Churchill often enjoyed a glass or two whilst working from the Hotel during WWII, when the
SOE used the hotel as their headquarters. Post war, the bar continued to be a regular meeting point for spies, double agent Guy Burgess is heavily rumoured to have meet his Russian counterpart here to hand over secret government files.
Caxton Bar is open daily from 11am to 11pm.
