London Transport Museum
Free for under 17s - 20 minute walk through Trafalgar Square and into Covent Garden
Natural History Museum / Science Museum
Both free entry, a couple of stops on the District Line from St James’s Park tube - right by the hotel
Hamleys
Perhaps the most famous toy shop in the world; free entry though leaving can be expensive; Regent street is a 15 minute walk through St James’s Park, across the Mall and Piccadilly
Take a row boat
On the serpentine in Hyde Park - 20 minutes walk and then £29 for an hour for a family of 4
