Behind the Name

Named after Vera Atkins, a pioneering intelligence officer with the Special Operations Executive who played a key role in recruiting and deploying agents into occupied Europe.

After the war, she devoted herself to uncovering the fate of missing SOE operatives, ensuring their courage and sacrifice would not be forgotten.
